Nathan X is a young South African producer/dj/remixer/vocalist, who has been in the music industry for 4years. He fell in love with the craft while still in high school and started teaching himself how to produce. His sound has been influenced by the likes of Lars Behrenroth, Louie Vega, Boddhi Satva, Manoo, Kerri Chandler, Abicah Soul, Osunlade, Black Coffee and his life long friend Deejay Cuebur. Uhuru is the Swahili word for ‘freedom’ Uhuru is simply a song that was sung by slaves in Africa…during intense and inhumane labor they had certain chants and hymns that they sung to comfort themselves during that dreadful time. All these chants had different meanings and expressed a great deal of pain a discomfort. Through the power of music we are all one and with this release NuLu is celebrating Freedom with “Uhuru”
